Seriously, they make really amazing things! My oldest was inspired by the recent "is it brick" episode of LegoMasters so she decided to try to make her brother's trumpet. It will be fun to see if she can get something to come together!
This is a fantastic analogy and a fantastic post, Malinda!
I often feel like spiritual direction sessions, where we're trying to listen to God together, are easier when the person has been steeped in Scripture--even if that Scripture has been used against them in a previous time. Even if it's been misrepresented and misinterpreted, the basic awareness of what it "says" on any level helps when trying to listen to the Holy Spirit--and working through the falsehood that was absorbed before.
I have so much compassion for people who have been abused by people misusing scripture. I remember after the death of my brother, people saying things...and I didn't have the biblical knowledge or discernment...to know the sayings weren't true, let alone not biblical. It takes a lot of wrestling sometimes, to get things straightened out. And it's hard!
SO hard. I have a lot of compassion, too. That's a lot of where the Pilgrimage "Listening Post" group came from. (And my Simon Peter book, to be honest.)
Um, first of all, your kiddos creation is absolutely amazing!
Then, to answer your question, I'm currently studying Romans 8.

Romans has so much to say!
