I've watched baseball for years, starting at Tabor when my husband was playing. He was really good. Played catcher from freshman on. He also was a fantastic homerun hitter. Could bat left or right handed. As a matter of fact, in his final year playing baseball, they were the championship team in the league. He also was watched for the "higher ups" but when they talked to him about it he said he was not interested. He now was married and didn't want to leave his wife. Loved that man!!! Tabor has had a great team for years with a fantastic coach.
Wow! Caryl, I love hearing all these stories! Thank you for sharing them with me...it's so enjoyable to get to know you better this way! Also, catcher was the position I paid close attention to all those years ago, too. Ha!
I like watching baseball in person (for the game and the IMMACULATE vibes) but can't stay engaged if I'm watching online/TV or listening.
I can get that! Sometimes I actually read while it's on TV.
I've been thinking recently...if I ever tried to write a Rom-Com (for instance)...a baseball connection would be fun for me :)
I love those moments when I realize I actually like something I thought I had to like and was just pretending about.
I definitely liked the boy...HA! It was so fun to figure out I also liked the sport!
