"Bleacher officiating" is a great term.

Unfortunately, there are people I avoid sitting with/near at games because they suck the joy out of watching. It gets really bad, especially during basketball 🫣😳 embarrassing.

Right now it’s baseball for me. The Milwaukee Brewers are playing lights out. I played football and baseball. Love watching the NFL, the Packers, Ohio State football, Notre Dame. Enjoy your weekend Kristin. I appreciate you.

We're wrapping up Royals season this weekend, as they didn't make the playoffs this year. They DID recently beat the Blue Jays 20-1, so that was fun! (Also, I really appreciate your comment and encouragement so much...but my name is Malinda :) ) Have a great weekend!

I had just read a post by Kristin before I made the comment. I’m sorry Malinda. I do know the difference 😬

As much as I love a rightly officiated game, I'm definitely NOT into automating balls and strikes. There's something to the human element still being involved in the game that makes it more compelling.

Using technology certainly takes away a part of the human component. That said, I’ve watched numerous videos of professional baseball action which highlights some of the more outrageous calls by umpires on balls and strikes. It made me ask the question if AI created the videos as well. It’s getting harder to verify where the truth ends and fabrication begins.

I feel seen. This is very well written, Malinda. I’ve way too many times have been “that guy.” Yelling about what he thought was a blown call. As a matter of fact, I was that guy last Saturday on a webstream broadcast I was on. You might have heard about the ending of this game, the video clip went viral. I forget easily that officials are human and not robots.
